Evidence of change in communities, systems and lives
From village palava huts to national policy spaces, HEFOSEL’s work is contributing to measurable shifts in knowledge, attitudes, behavior and accountability around gender equality and human rights in Liberia.
Transforming Men & Boys
Over 5,500 men and boys across seven counties have been mentored on positive masculinity, gender equality and non‑violence. Participants are now leading peer education, reporting cases of abuse and actively supporting women's leadership.
Empowering Women & Girls – VSLA & SRHR
2,300+ women and girls reached through VSLA, SRHR and rights education. The culture of silence around menstrual health has been broken, contributing to girls' retention in school and improved economic resilience to reduce intimate partner violence.
Strengthening Justice & Accountability
Working with the Ministries of Gender and Justice, traditional leaders and media, HEFOSEL has helped document and follow up on dozens of cases of SGBV, harmful practices and domestic violence—supporting survivors and pushing for accountability.
