Mobilizing men and boys as allies to end violence, FGM and harmful practices.
He For She Crusaders Liberia (HEFOSEL) was established in November 2017 and accredited by the Government of Liberia through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2018 as a non‑profit organization. We mentor men and boys in Positive Masculinity, stand up for social justice for women, girls and marginalized groups, and work with traditional leaders, youth groups, and national government to advance gender equality and human rights.

School Clubs
Radio & MediaA credible, male‑led partner for gender equality in Liberia
HEFOSEL has an incredible track record in Liberia and Africa. We have worked with UN Women to train vulnerable women in Village Savings and Loan (VSLA) – making women self‑reliant. We mentor men and boys who now campaign for social change and call for transparency and accountability at local and national levels. Together with FORUMCIV, we broke the stigma and stereotypes that kept girls and women from school during menstruation. The silence on menstrual taboo was broken in Liberia – men and boys are now active supporters of women and girls during their menstrual cycle. We bring together national‑level experience and deep community presence, helping donors and partners translate policy commitments on FGM, SGBV and women's rights into visible, accountable change on the ground.
