Who We Are

He For She Crusaders Liberia (HEFOSEL)

HEFOSEL is a national, male‑led, non‑governmental, non‑political and non‑profit organization established in November 2017 and accredited by the Government of Liberia through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in July 2018. We exist to mobilize men and boys as allies for women's and girls' rights, end FGM and harmful practices, and promote justice and dignity for all.

Our Vision

A Liberia free from marginalization, harmful practices and all forms of violence, where women, girls and marginalized groups enjoy their human rights to life, justice, political participation & representation and dignity.

Our Mission

To mentor men and boys into positive masculinity, promote gender equality and social justice, provide capacity skills for women and girls in Village Savings and Loan to end violence and advocate for the eradication of harmful practices—including FGM and child marriage—so that women and girls can live and lead free from violence and discrimination.

Core Values

  • Transparency and honesty
  • Equality and shared responsibility
  • Respect for human dignity and the rule of law
  • Accountability to communities and partners

Motto

“Yes to Human Rights, No to Discrimination.”

HEFOSEL operates through county chapters coordinated by local leaders and volunteers in:

  • Grand Gedeh
